Forecastle 2014: First Round of Official Forecastle Late-Night Shows Announced

Forecastle_2014_Logo_VertThe Forecastle Festival, Louisville’s three-day music, art and environmental activism festival, will host a number of separately ticketed late-night shows on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 2014. The initial late-night lineup includes St. Paul and the Broken Bones and Mimosa with a number of additional performances to be announced soon.

St. Paul and the Broken Bones will perform with special guest Curtis Harding on Friday, July 18 at Headliners Music Hall. Mimosa will perform on Friday on the historic Belle of Louisville steamboat, the oldest operating steamboat in the U.S., celebrating its 100th birthday in 2014.

Tickets for both events will go on sale on Friday, May 30 at noon EDT at Forecastlefest.com. Festival ticket purchasers will also have access to tickets through an exclusive online pre-sale. Those interested in participating in the pre-sale must purchase their Festival tickets by Tuesday, May 20 at midnight.

Forecastle Curates Red Bull Sound Select Shows in Louisville, Cincinnati and Indianapolis

Announced last week, Forecastle Festival has joined forces with Red Bull Sound Select, the team known for bringing together artists that matter, fans that care and tastemakers that support them both, to present the Road to Forecastle featuring shows in Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati curated by The Forecastle Festival!

The first show, set to take place on Monday, June 9 will feature J. Roddy Walston & The Business with special guests Thee Open Sex and Charlie Patton’s War at The Deluxe at Old National Centre in Indianapolis. On June 12, RBSS will bring Vintage Trouble with Big Bad Oven and Anwar Sadat to Zanzabar in Louisville. The series will conclude with Phosphorescent featuring Cedar Skies and Public at the Madison Theatre in Cincinnati on June 15. All shows are $5 with advance RSVP or $15 day of show.
